The Rattle explores youth and street culture through a lens of presence and traces.
While emerging into the world of urban structures and architecture, this project reflects on the ways young people shape these environments. The images alternate between moments of clarity and obscurity, indicating a state of constant change. Precise sequencing of these fragments forms an archipelago of cultural islands carved out of the city grid.
By using firsthand observations of urban life, the work suggests that street culture may be portrayed both as a form of resistance and as an act of expression. What’s left is not a complete picture, but a series of impressions - remnants of something still forming.
